Hair Growth Tips You Need To Know

Getting your hair to be super long and length retention can be quite a journey. First, you need to acknowledge that your heritage does play a role in your hair growth and the general nature of your hair. Every person has a different experience with hair growth and although we cannot change how our hair is because of genetics, we can improve on how we treat it and care for it. Here are some of the tips that may look simple but go a long way:

  • Massaging your scalp, as well as the act of relaxing the scalp through a massage, stimulates blood flow to the scalp which promotes hair growth. It basically makes your hair follicles more active.
  • Investing in hair products that promote hair growth like Jamaican black castor oil, rosemary essential oil, peppermint and essential oil is key. Absorb these into your hair care routine and it will bring great results.
  • Avoid using heat on your hair, things like straightening, flat ironing or be keen and know how much heat your hair can withstand. Too much heat stunts your hair growth.
  • Create a regular hair routine according to your hair type and how oily your scalp tends to get. Letting the oil accumulate will cause the microorganisms that naturally live in our skin to breakdown the excessive sebum which creates inflammation which would irritate your scalp and cause dandruff. Treating your hair how you treat the rest of your body is important. Get a routine that best suits you and your hair type and make sure you are consistent with your hair treatment.
  • Trim your hair. To get rid of hair damage, things like heat damage and split ends. Holding on to your that hair stunts its growth and eventually damages the hair more.
  • Focus more on your hair’s health instead of the speed of the growth. Your hair’s growth comes with how healthy it is. Healthy hair grows more.
